History:

The Laboratory was founded in 1958 by a Corresponding-member of the Academy of Sciences of USSR, Professor A.A.Shlyk as the Laboratory of Biophysics and Isotopes at the Academy of Sciences of BSSR. In 1966 the Laboratory was renamed into the Laboratory of Biophysics and Biochemistry of Photosynthetic Apparatus. In 2004 the Laboratory was reorganized into the Laboratory of Plant Cell Biophysics and Biochemistry. From 1958 to 1985 the Laboratory was headed by a Corresponding-member of the Academy of Sciences of USSR, D.Sc. Professor A.A.Shlyk. From 1985 to 2001 the head of the Laboratory was D.Sc. Professor N.G. Averina. Since 2002 the Laboratory is headed by Dr. N.V.Shalygo.
